Senior Software Engineer – Delft (Hybrid)

We’re working with a well-established software company based in Delft that builds smart digital platforms for the financial services sector. They’re the brains behind several tools used by major banks and insurers in the Netherlands, and they’re now looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help shape their next wave of innovation.

You’ll be joining a collaborative and experienced development team where quality and long-term thinking take priority over rushing features. The work you do here won’t just sit in a backlog – it’ll directly impact how people interact with financial services across the country.

What you’ll be working on

• Designing and building new features and platforms that integrate smoothly with client systems

• Leading or contributing to key architectural decisions

• Coaching and mentoring junior and mid-level engineers

• Writing clean, testable code in either .NET or JavaScript/TypeScript

• Working with tools like Kubernetes, Microservices, and Azure in real-world applications

• Collaborating closely with product owners, other teams, and occasionally external partners

• Helping define functional and non-functional requirements

• Staying on top of new developments in tech and sharing your knowledge with the team

What they’re looking for

• 6+ years of experience in software development

• Solid experience with .NET and/or JavaScript/TypeScript

• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment

• Good understanding of software design principles

• Familiarity with Domain Driven Design, Event Sourcing, TDD, CI/CD, Docker, or Kubernetes is a plus

• Comfortable taking initiative and working independently when needed
